Increasing Your Monthly Donation
Inflation is worldwide issue, and the operation costs at Sakamana are no different. Since the beginning of 2023, eggs have increased 58%, milk has increased 45%, and packages of peanuts have increased 50%.
The rising costs for Sakamana are due to a tremendous drought that Zambia experienced in the rainy season of 2023-2024. Because Zambia relies heavily on hydropower for its electricity source, when there is not sufficient rainfall, the hydropower generation is severely lacking. Even though we were blessed with normal rainfall for 2024-2025, the effects of the drought are still staggering. Zambia faces increased unemployment with businesses being forced to run on supplemental power such as generators and expensive solar systems.
We are so grateful for each monthly partner. If you are a $2 or $5 per month partner, we are asking you to prayerfully consider increasing your monthly subscription. Sakamana has not changed its commitment to serving 450 students Monday to Friday year-round. We believe each student deserves a nutritional start to the day. Sakamana is fully trusting God for this step of faith that we have taken. However, we also believe in the power of community - partners like you - to stand in the gap as we serve the students living in the rural villages around us.

Navigate to the Donor Portal which can be found at the top of the www.sakamana.org home page.
Log into the Donor Portal using the email address that you used when you first partnered with us.
Once you’ve entered your email address, Stripe will send a link to your email. Simply click on the link, and you will be taken to your subscription.
From there, you can increase your monthly partnership with Sakamana.
